Job Summary

The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Domino Data Labs Support Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will administer our data science ecosystem, including multi-environment and Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift-based deployments. You'll be part of the Data Management Tooling team, which takes care of end-to-end business intelligence (BI) platform services. You ll provide support to the business users in a 24/7 model and youl assist them with issues related to BI, ETL, and data science applications. As a Domino Data Labs Support Engineer, you will work in an environment which is influenced by open source values and offerings. You will get an opportunity to learn the complete technology stack of the data science ecosystem. You'll also contribute to the team's capabilities and deliverables by demonstrating technical competence, personal initiative, creativity, learning, sharing, and teamwork while collaborating with local and remote team members as well as external groups.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform, administer, supervise and support configuration of data science platforms, preferably Domino Data Labs
• Coordinate with various teams and serve as a point of contact between the administration team and the data science community
• Coordinate with vendors on new features, upgrades, and support-related cases
• Prepare consumption and adoption reports as per organizational requirements
• Develop various use cases and provide functional specifications for teams and individuals
• Ensure compliance with best practises and industry standards
• Coordinate with solutions architects and prepare appropriate architecture for business objects
• Evaluate all data from end users and prepare appropriate dashboards
• Administer security settings on our data science and analytics platform
• Respond to and resolve customer issues within a specified service-level agreement (SLA) period
• Work in shifts in a 24/7 model

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat Openshift-based application administration and support
• Expertise in the Python or R and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform programming languages
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Openness to learn new technologies quickly with minimum guidance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The following are considered a plus:

• Support experience with data science and machine learning (ML) applications like Domino Data Labs along with Jupyter Notebook and Apache Airflow
• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux Containers, or Red Hat OpenShift
• Experience with a combination of Python, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift-based application support
